At Duluth Driving School, you will be able to attend our DUI class which will assist you not to repeat the error of driving under the influence. Completing a DUI Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Program (RRP) is an obligation for eligibility for reinstatement of a driver's license if a driver has been convicted of a DUI, possession of illegal drugs, underage possession of alcohol while driving a motor vehicle, or boating under the influence (BUI).
Drivers whose license has been suspended or revoked because of a conviction for any of the above charges will continue to be suspended unless the offender completes the requirements of the Risk Reduction Program.
Effective July 1, 2008: First-time DUI offenders are ordered to acquire a clinical evaluation unless the court waives. Also, based on the clinical evaluation results, you may need to complete a substance abuse treatment program. DUI offenders who obtain a second or subsequent DUI within TEN years are required to get a clinical evaluation, and complete a substance abuse treatment program if needed, to be able to apply for license reinstatement, according to O.C.G.A 40-5-63.2,. At the same time, there will also be court-ordered and self-referred participants in the program. Our Duluth DUI School offers DUI classes to fulfill this requisite.
When registering and signing up for this course, you must take an assessment test at the school before the first day of DUI class; this assessment is state-mandated and a part of taking the DUI class.
- 20-hour course held over a two and half day’s period (Saturday – Monday)
- Saturday and Sunday class hours begin promptly 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (ONE-hour lunch break)
